DESCRIPTION
The iconic scent that is Chanel No.5. No.5 was Gabrielle Chanel’s debut fragrance and it changed the world and entire history of perfume. Created in 1921, it differed from other perfumes at the time due to its different, less traditional structure. Most other scents from the period were of floral descent, featuring the likes of jasmine, lilac and the rose flower. Chanel No.5 was tangy, sparkly, almost champagne-like. It began a revolution of similarly scented and ever-growing fragrances of it’s kind. The history behind the name is a simple one. Ernest Beaux, the creator of Chanel’s signature scents, came up with 10 samples. Labelled one to five and 20 to 24, he presented them to Chanel. She chose number five. Chanel No5 perfume for women is classified as a refined, floral, soft fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of modern floral's with sandalwood and vanilla. It’s completely unmistakable, the perfume that made history.
